  WAKi RelicsCenter presented Buddha’s relic to Buddhist University

  On February 21, 2020,WAKiRelicsCenterdonatedBuddha’s relic to Dharma Buddhist University(DBU)which was presented by theWAKiRelicsCenterpresidentandWAKiInternational Group CEO Mr.Teo Choo Guan and received by Ven.Master Hui Hai who lead a team of 70 teachers and students of DBU who attended the solemn ceremony. During the ceremony, Buddha’s hair relics, brain relics, blood relics, relics of 10great disciples of Buddha, as well as Dragon Palace Relics.

  Buddha’s Relics are from immeasurable cultivation of precepts, meditation and wisdom, integration of countless prajna and wisdom.Buddhists with profound karmic rewards witness this auspicious ceremony with offering of incense and chanting of the Dharma verses.

  Ven.Master Hui Hai lead disciples in the dharma assembly and recited prayers for Buddha’s blessing for purification of the mind as well as peace andhappiness of our nation. Ven. MasterHui Haisaid that Buddha is the enlighten one who taught us the truth of how to abandon sufferings and obtain happiness. Buddha relics is a rare and priceless treasure on earth. He further explained that in our present life, if one is able to revere and pray respect to the relics of Buddha, it is one's own profound bliss.

  Relics of the Buddha is the accumulation of compassion since ancient time.Through the benevolent and wisdom of the Buddha in relics form, to enlighten our mind to follow Buddha’s compassion spirit.

  The concept ofDBU is to localise practical Buddhism in Malaysia for purificationof the mind, enable students to know life’s value, at the same time understand the importance of great harmony of mankind.

  DBU provide the opportunities for individuals to learn spiritual education.

  DBU played a crucial role in the fusion of traditional thoughts and modern education guidelines, so that more Buddhists lecturers are trainto propagate Buddhist teachingsto the world.

  In 1979,the King of Relic, Myanmar -Ven.Sayadaw U Kittivara founded Parami temple , 5 years later he built a relics museum. After which, Ven.Sayadaw U Kittivara started to collect and hereserve relics of the Buddha and arahats all over Myanmar.He has also donated the relics to many countries which include Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Laos, China and Malaysia.

  WAKiRelicsCenter Presidentand Waki International group CEO, Mr. Teo Choo Guan was awarded World Buddhism OutstandingContributionAward, as well as Sweden World Peace Ambassador Award, Pillar of Asoke Award and Gold Phra Pathomohedi Award.
